I am a certified early childhood educator who graduated from the School of Education at CUNY Hunter College, holding a bachelor’s degree in both Early Childhood Education and Psychology. I am bilingual in English and Polish, with ongoing efforts to learn Spanish.
How I Started
The pandemic has put a lot of pressure on families with academics and planning. Some have been successful but for most, it has been an unforeseen challenge. That's where I have been able to step in, helping children under the age of 15, keeping them focused and aware of their day-to-day academic responsibilities and development, offering my various tutoring services in literacy and mathematics, homework help and test preparation/private school entrance exams (including but not limited to Regents Exams, G&T, SCAT, AABL, T&E), ranging from emergent learners to those preparing for middle school. My experience also lies in early childhood development, where I help develop fine and gross motor skills, as well as language development.
Why Me?
One-on-one tutoring allows a hands-on, individualized approach to academics that is far too often sorely missing in the classroom for many students. As a private tutor for early childhood and elementary grades, I am able to have a bigger impact on children’s academic and interpersonal development by providing individualized support and tailoring it to the specific needs of a given student. I address each student’s strengths, interests and needs by using a wide variety of developmentally-appropriate methodologies and resources, as well as games and activities specifically, backed by research, tailored to each student. I focus on improving students’ confidence by offering consistent positive encouragement and feedback, supporting them academically, and teaching them the analytical and critical thinking skills they need to be successful, in a comfortable, fun, and supportive environment.
